So, you dropped your six hundred dollar phone and broke your screen, now what? You can try to collect the shards of glass and glue it(I highly advise against because its likely your screen will no longer work and it may get stuck to your ear) or you can call me and get your screen repaired. The screen(hypothetically) compared to a new phone is only two hundred and twenty eight dollars. Tack on labor and it would be less than half the cost of a new phone..Depending on the phone it can run much less!
Modern consumer electronics contain circuit boards and components with hazardous chemicals like lead, mercury, and cadmium. If not recycled properly they can pollute the environment and harm people and wildlife. By repairing your personal electronics, you are giving them a second chance and saving them from the landfill. You also reduce the amount of waste, power and gas it requires to manufacture and deliver new products.
